Kennel Technician Position
Valley Inn for Pets is hiring a Kennel Technician. This full-time role offers a salary of $16 - $18 per hour and a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Valley Inn for Pets is a large boarding and daycare facility looking for a full-time Kennel Technician to join our crew of passionate animal-care professionals. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, isn't afraid to stay active throughout the day, and understands that excellent pet care takes patience, responsibility, attention to detail, and plenty of teamwork.
As a Kennel Technician, you'll play an essential role in providing daily care, enrichment, and supervision for our boarding and daycare guests. You'll provide compassionate daily care for boarding and daycare dogs and cats, feed pets according to their individual schedules and care instructions, refresh kennels, rooms, bedding, water, and other pet-care areas, administer medications according to established instructions and protocols, supervise dogs during daycare playgroups, monitor pet behavior, comfort, appetite, and overall well-being, communicate any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team member, safely handle dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, personalities, and temperaments, maintain clean, sanitary, and comfortable boarding and daycare environments, follow established cleaning, safety, and animal-care protocols, help maintain organized and properly stocked pet-care areas, collaborate with teammates to keep each day running smoothly, and jump in wherever needed to support pets and coworkers.
We're looking for someone who combines a genuine love of animals with reliability, initiative, and a team-first attitude. You should be comfortable working around animals of different sizes and temperaments, available to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays, dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. You should be confident taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities, stay organized and attentive in a busy boarding and daycare environment, have a positive attitude, compassion and empathy for pets, clients, coworkers, and yourself, strong communication and teamwork skills, willingness to follow established animal-care and safety protocols, ability to stay active throughout the workday, a willingness to ask for help and offer help when teammates need it, and a commitment to creating positive experiences for every pet in our care.
