$28–$34/hour | Full-Time | Tuesday–Friday

Animal Eye Care of New England is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our modern, well-established ophthalmology referral practice in South Deerfield, Massachusetts.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment and wants to expand their clinical skills while working alongside a talented and collaborative team.

About the Role

Our ophthalmology technicians serve as the doctor's right hand throughout appointments and surgical procedures. They play an essential role in organizing the doctor's daily clinical activities, communicating with clients and staff, and advocating for patients and their families throughout their care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during ophthalmology appointments and surgical procedures
  • Preparing, monitoring, and caring for patients undergoing anesthesia
  • Communicating with clients regarding patient care and treatment
  • Humane patient restraint and handling
  • IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Medication administration
  • Patient monitoring
  • Filling prescriptions
  • Laboratory procedures
  • Computer documentation and data entry
  • Supporting an organized and efficient daily workflow
What We're Looking For
  • Current CVT qualification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of anesthesia experience required
  • Experience with ventilator use preferred
  • Strong technical and patient-monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Outgoing, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Passion for animals and high-quality patient care
Schedule & Compensation
  • $28–$34/hour
    , based on experience and qualifications
  • Full-Time
  • Tuesday–Friday
  • Day shift
  • No nights
  • No weekends
