The North Billerica, MA facility manufactures build-to-print electrical cable and harness assemblies. Cristek is a preferred supplier to several major Aerospace, Defense, and Space prime contractors.

Responsibilities
  • Read and comprehend the customer drawings, parts list, wire list, processes, specifications, and assembly routers in English to prepare for FAIRs.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Specialist and other FAI team members using the FAI dashboard in SAP for the Billerica site – reviewing daily to plan upcoming orders requiring FAI.
  • Assign a separate FAI # in Net‑Inspect for each assembly and reference the Cristek FAI #.
  • Confirm that no existing FAI is on file before initiating a new one.
  • Prepare all required FAIs using Discus software to "balloon" the customer drawing.
  • Fill in Forms 1, 2, and 3 of AS9102C utilizing Net‑Inspect (or Excel if needed) based on the customer drawing and parts list.
  • After the cable and harness assembly goes through final inspection, gather all required documentation to complete the compliance portion of the FAI.
  • Enter referenced items (lot numbers, router operation numbers, specifications, and processes) into Forms 1, 2, and 3.
  • In Excel, print all Supplier CoF's and number each page to correspond with the customer’s parts list; in Net‑Inspect, attach the electronic copy of Supplier CoF to the document tab.
  • Attach customer drawing, parts list, purchase order, and supporting specifications and documents into the document tab in Net‑Inspect.
  • Sign the FAI and submit to the Quality Assurance Specialist for review and customer submission.
  • Once the FAI is approved by the customer, save it in Net‑Inspect to a PDF file and store it on the shared drive.
  • Write the Net‑Inspect # (or Excel #) on the work order package and, once approved, bring the kit to shipping.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date copying, filing, scanning, and document storage of all FAIs.
  • Collaborate with Receiving, Inspection, and Stockroom personnel regarding lot traceability issues.
  • Collaborate with Production, Sales, and Engineering on customer documentation issues.
  • Perform general administration tasks: scanning, copying, filing, shredding of all quality documents; assist with daily scanning and filing of completed work order packages; assist the General Manager with E3 administrative tasks.

  • Knowledge of AS9102C requirements is a plus.
  • Experience with Net‑Inspect and Discus is a plus.
