Laboratory Operations Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Overview

As a Laboratory Operations Supervisor in an IDEXX laboratory, you will supervise a team of Laboratory Technicians who analyze samples and help veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. You will support continuous improvement and strong collaboration within the lab team.

• Leverage passion for coaching and developing employees to help the team reach full potential while achieving business goals
• Organize staff schedules, coordinate workflow, and oversee costs and metrics
• Problem‑solve, from troubleshooting diagnostic analyzers to resolving situational workflow and turnaround time challenges
• Act as a business leader and a people leader for the lab and the line of business
• Bring passion and enthusiasm for teamwork, success, innovation and excellence to your role and team

• Experience in a laboratory leadership position
• Directly supervised 10+ employees in a fast‑paced and/or high‑volume work environment
• Knowledge of veterinary or human clinical testing procedures
• Ability to work during the 3rd Shift (overnight)
• Passionate about people leadership
• Excited about using skills to promote health and well‑being of animals
• Physical requirements:
  
  standing and sitting for extended periods, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, specific vision ability – close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Potential exposure to biohazards, agents that cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals

• Salary rate targeting: $85,000/year

Full time (40hour/week), night‑shift position: 11:30pm–8:00am, Monday Night–Friday Night. Shifts and hours may vary depending on business needs. Reliable and dependable attendance is essential.
