Salary Range: $58,000 - $65,000. Salary commensurate with relevant experience.

The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College is seeking a full time Research Associate. The Center was created through a grant from the Social Security Administration to promote research on retirement issues and transmit the findings to policy makers, the research community, and the public.

The Research Associate will be directly involved in the various research activities at the Center. This involves contributing to research papers, producing descriptive statistics, drafting research summaries, helping prepare presentations and responding to informational queries. The Research Associate will work under the direction of the Center Director and the senior research staff. The Research Associate will also assist in the day-to-day assignments of student research assistants.

Requirements

* The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or a master's degree, preferably in Economics or Finance, with exposure to retirement issues, labor economics, and/or health economics.

* The Center is looking for someone who is well organized and detail oriented, has strong research and analytical skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills.

* Experience working with micro data and some knowledge of econometrics and statistical packages, such as SAS or STATA is valuable.

* Experience programming in Python and MATLAB would be a plus.
