Descripción del empleoThe main mission of the Research Associate will be to cooperate in a research project, integrated into a team of 5 chemists, synthesizing collections of novel organic molecules, in the purity, quantity and structural determination required by our clients.
Functions (100% laboratory work):
- Perform organic synthesis reactions on a laboratory scale.
- Purification of compounds using various techniques.
- Analysis, identity and coding.
- Accurate writing of experiments performed in the laboratory in an electronic notebook.
- Handling of scientific instruments:
Flash Chromatography (MPLC), Rotavapor, Ultraviolet, High Vacuum, H-Cube, Microwaves, Flow-Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Automatic Synthesizers, etc. - Use liquid chromatography equipment (HPLC), thin layer assays...
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment, as well as the workspace in the laboratory.
- Fluid communication with the team and laboratory manager.
To perform these functions, previous experience in an organic chemistry laboratory is required, as well as mastery of:
- Basic laboratory operations.
- Organic nomenclature.
- Basic organic formulation.
- Recognition of functional groups.
- Specific laboratory material.
