Hours:
An average of 16-19.5 hours/week, with potential for increased hours in the future
Term:
Until December 2026, with the potential to extend.

Job Summary:
The Marine Fisheries Research (MFR) program conducts community-based collaborative research and education, working directly with fishers and shellfish farmers primarily in the Cape Cod region.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate and participate in field work and laboratory work on outer Cape Cod, primarily from Orleans to Provincetown;
- Data entry and management of field notes;
- Data management (Google Suite and Microsoft Office);
- Take thorough notes in the field;
- Perform preliminary data exploration and analysis;
- Perform field work both on land and on sea;
- Generate tables and figures for internal and external reports;
- Maintain equipment, freezer, and video inventory;
- Ability and willingness to be flexible and adapt to weather and personnel availability
Prerequisites:
- B.S. in Marine Science or a related field;
- Prior experience working on the water;
- Data entry and data management skills;
- Familiarity with and interest in science and policy related to marine fisheries;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to lift 50 and drag 100 pounds and comfort working outside or at sea for up to twelve hours;
- US Driver's license and reliable transportation
- US citizenship or proper US work visas
