Compensation Pay Range
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate equals or exceeds the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance premiums or other per hour amounts in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and overall store operations.
- Supervise professional and retail operations, including delivery & installer service specialists and parts & merchandising specialists.
- Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members under supervision.
- Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members and handle performance evaluations, recommending pay increases.
- Participate in hiring tasks: scheduling, interviewing, evaluating candidates, collaborating with management.
- Support store manager in safety compliance, ensuring all team members receive appropriate training.
- Make sales calls with/without store manager and may be assigned a schedule for weekly customer calls.
- Maintain delivery fleet, maintain records for each vehicle, and ensure staff keeps store neat, clean, organized.
- Electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll; learn to utilize electronic scheduling and timekeeping system and payroll entry functions.
- Learn to manage key components of gross profit; monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse; review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use.
- Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily; review monthly P&L statement with store manager and discuss areas of opportunity.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
- High School Diploma (Required).
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
Desired
- O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
- Completed O’Reilly management training program.
- Advanced computer skills.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
