- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales objectives.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales consultants to improve performance and customer service.
- Monitor sales activities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and dealership profitability.
- Assist sales staff in closing vehicle sales and resolving customer concerns.
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience throughout the buying process.
- Manage inventory to maintain the proper mix of vehicles and maximize turnover.
- Collaborate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to facilitate financing and product sales.
- Review deals for accuracy, profitability, and compliance with dealership policies.
- Analyze sales reports, market trends, and competitor activity to develop effective sales strategies.
- Establish pricing strategies and approve vehicle discounts within dealership guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing automotive sales.
- Foster a positive, high-performance team culture.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of automotive sales experience, with prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS), CRM software, and inventory management tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
