Do you have an interest in classic cars, vintage automotive parts, and automotive history? Doug Russell Marine is looking for an Automotive E-Commerce & Vintage Parts Catalog Specialist to help identify, organize, catalog, market, and sell our inventory of vintage automotive components, along with occasional marine parts and equipment.

This is a hands-on role that combines automotive research, inventory management, e-commerce, photography, and order fulfillment. You will work directly with a wide variety of vintage components, including chrome trim, air cleaner assemblies, mechanical parts, hubcaps, accessories, and other automotive parts primarily from the 1950s through the 1970s.

A major part of this position will involve researching unfamiliar parts, determining year, make, model, and application whenever possible, and creating an organized digital catalog so items can be accurately listed, located, sold, and shipped.

Inspect and identify vintage automotive components using part numbers, casting numbers, markings, measurements, reference materials, and online research. Determine applicable year, make, model, and fitment whenever possible.

Enter accurate product information into spreadsheets and internal inventory systems. Maintain organized physical storage locations so cataloged inventory can be quickly located when an item sells.

Photograph parts clearly and accurately, document condition and identifying details, and create informative listings for platforms such as eBay and Facebook Marketplace.

Review current listings, completed sales, historical pricing, and market demand to help establish competitive and appropriate selling prices for vintage and hard-to-find parts.

Locate sold inventory and carefully package parts for shipment, including fragile trim pieces, heavy mechanical components, and unusually shaped items.

Assist with identifying, cataloging, listing, or shipping marine engines, outboard parts, trailer components, and related inventory as needed.

A strong interest in classic cars, vintage automotive parts, mechanical components, restoration, or automotive history. Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate.

You will regularly encounter parts you may not immediately recognize. We are looking for someone who enjoys researching, problem-solving, asking questions when needed, and learning as they go.

Accuracy is extremely important when recording part numbers, applications, condition, inventory locations, and listing information.

Basic computer skills are required. Experience with eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Excel, Google Sheets, online research, or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.

Able to organize your workload and move independently between researching parts, photographing inventory, creating listings, maintaining records, and fulfilling orders.

This position involves regularly handling automotive and marine parts of different sizes, weights, and conditions and working in both office and inventory/storage environments.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Get hands-on exposure to vintage automotive components, classic car parts, marine equipment, and items you may not encounter in a typical parts or warehouse position.

This role combines research, automotive knowledge, photography, e-commerce, inventory management, and shipping, so your daily responsibilities will vary.

We will provide training on our internal inventory systems, cataloging procedures, storage organization, and listing processes.

Once trained, you will have a high degree of independence in managing the cataloging and sales process. We value employees who take initiative, stay organized, research solutions, and take ownership of their work while also knowing when to ask questions.
