Lake Boon Patrol Officer

Stow Police Department is seeking qualified candidate(s) to fill a Lake Boon Patrol Officer position. Under the immediate supervision of a Police Sergeant or other superior officer, this position performs basic law enforcement duties including the protection and safeguarding of life and property, the prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals, and the preservation of peace in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

This position includes patrol and enforcement of all boating laws on Lake Boon.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License
• Valid License to Carry (LTC) — must have or be able to obtain
• POST Certified
• Obtain Boating Certification
• Must pass criminal and traffic record check, background investigation, physical, and psychological examinations
• First Responder Certification

This is a part‑time position requiring a minimum of 8 hours per week. Candidate must have the ability to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.

• Starting pay: $27.61 – $29.75 per hour, depending on qualifications
• Opportunity for overtime
