Position: Maintenance Technician - 10:00AM-6:30 PM
Location: Dorchester

About The Role

Facilities Maintenance Technician – Responsible for performing preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs across mechanical and electrical building systems to ensure a safe and well‑maintained environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance under close supervision.
  • Use carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall patching, and lock‑smith trade skills.
  • Maintain lighting systems, cleaning fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and troubleshooting of building equipment systems.
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Complete maintenance, repair records, and work orders; estimate time and materials; order supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of relevant experience (experience can substitute for a diploma).
  • Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow work routines and standards.
  • Good communication skills for straightforward information exchange.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive attitude.
Schedule
  • Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Location
  • Healthcare facility in Chestnut Hill, MA

Compensation

Minimum $32.00 per hour – maximum $38.00 per hour. Salary is based on education, training, and experience. Successful candidates are eligible for discretionary bonus opportunities.
