Crane Technician – Rowley, MA

Cap Co Crane & Hoist (a division of Lift Solutions Holdings) is looking for a Crane Technician to join our growing team in Rowley, MA. The role involves providing quality installation, inspections, maintenance, and repair services for hoist and crane equipment while upholding professional integrity to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA‑equivalent inspections; document and complete warranty work; troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and internal departments in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain rapport with customers by promptly reviewing and addressing complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
• Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Be responsible for company equipment, including company vehicle(s), trailers, tools, etc.

• 2–5 years of troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Thorough electrical knowledge of 3‑phase motors, VFDs, contractors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience.
• Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician, Electro‑Mechanical Technology, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work at height and in extreme temperatures, noisy locations; physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting, and lifting 50–100 lbs.
• Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
• Work independently.
• Deal directly with customers and represent the company professionally and courteously.
• Communication skills for informing both the company and customers of job status.
• Quality and results‑driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
• Use own hand tools and meter.
• Local travel to customers on a daily basis required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
