Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

• Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
• Assist with the installation and repair of piping/tubing; wire single and three‑phase motors; run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.
• Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Check, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Document all work in the CMMS system.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Apply all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
• Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience with a CMMS system, a must.
• Previous clean‑room experience, GMP or ISO knowledge, desired.
• Experience beyond construction‑style electrical work is a must; this could include troubleshooting of VFDs, building automation devices like damper actuators, valve actuators and sensors.
• Experience as an electromechanical technician, desired.
• Massachusetts Journeyman or master Electrical License.
• Valid Driver’s License.

• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Must be able to speak, read and write fluent English.

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including email, Excel and Word.

• Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
• Must comply with any dress code requirements.

• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity in light of JLL time and attendance policy and/or client operating hours.
• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
• Must be able to support nights, weekends and holidays as directed by work shift assigned.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
