Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical equipment and instrumentation in areas of responsibility
Respond to equipment breakdowns and return to operation quickly to minimize downtime and production losses
Interpret information from test equipment, documentation and operations to expedite repairs
Install, improve or modify electrical, controls and instrumentation equipment as requested
Provide project support to electrical, instrumentation and control systems projects as necessary
Collaborate with engineering, construction services and manufacturing personnel in a team environment
Participate in continuous improvement and reliability improvement processes
Test, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical equipment and instrumentation
Maintain accurate records of electrical systems, tests, calibrations and PM performed
Improve personal knowledge of electrical systems and equipment operation to improve quality and efficiency, and reduce downtime
Maintain strong safety awareness and knowledge of plant electrical processes and safety procedures
Promote an injury-free work environment and respond quickly to unsafe conditions
Perform interactive safety training and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures for all machinery and equipment repairs
Maintain good housekeeping within the area and participate in department safety activities

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma
State Electricians License (Massachusetts preferred) with completed electrical apprenticeship program
Minimum of 1 year of industry-related electrical experience or minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical experience
Experience working with 480V / 3 Phase systems

Knowledge and Skills

Solid industrial mechanical skills to complement electrical skills
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment deficiencies
Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs, climb stairs, and work overhead; stoop and bend as needed
Diligent, conscientious, self-starting and able to work as part of a team
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, accountability and responsibility for tasks
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

The starting pay for this role is $42.60/hour
