Job Title: Irrigation Foreman Technician
Location: Osterville, MA
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25-40 per hr
Reports To: Project Manager
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Foreman Technician to lead a crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in irrigation system installation, troubleshooting, and water management. This role requires strong leadership, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail to ensure high‑quality work and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:Installation & Maintenance
- Oversee and participate in the installation of irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, controllers, and sprinkler heads.
- Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues such as leaks, electrical faults, and water pressure inconsistencies.
- Perform system start‑ups, winterizations, and routine inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers for efficiency and proper watering schedules.
- Lead and manage a crew, ensuring efficient workflow and high‑quality craftsmanship.
- Provide hands‑on training and guidance to crew members.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure job completion within set timelines.
- Enforce safety procedures and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Communicate professionally with clients to assess their irrigation needs and provide recommendations.
- Document work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Provide feedback to management regarding project progress and crew performance.
- Minimum 2‑5 years of irrigation installation and maintenance experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Knowledgeable in irrigation system components, water conservation techniques, and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Leadership skills: ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team.
- Technical proficiency: ability to read blueprints, follow irrigation layouts, and use tools and equipment properly.
- Certifications (preferred):
Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) or other industry‑related certifications. - Driver’s license: valid with a clean record (CDL is a plus).
- Physical requirements:
ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
