About the RoleAt Ace Handyman Services, we help homeowners love their homes again by delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance, and improvements. As a Part-time Craftsman, you will be the face of our business. Our service territory covers most of the I-95, 495, and Route 24 triangle and beyond. This role is designed for a skilled, independent tradesperson who wants to focus on doing great work rather than chasing leads, writing bids, or managing invoicing.

On a day-to-day basis, success means arriving at residential job sites on time, diagnosing repair needs, and executing clean, precise work. You will manage your daily schedule through our company app, talk through projects with homeowners to ensure their needs are met, and complete multiple small-to-medium tasks safely and efficiently. You will represent our brand with a professional appearance and a helpful attitude.
Over time, success in this role means becoming a go-to expert for complex residential challenges. You will build strong relationships with local homeowners, leading to repeat business and excellent community reviews. As a senior member of the team, you will also help set the standard for quality workmanship, occasionally coordinating multi-day projects or sharing your expertise with other team members.
Key ResponsibilitiesComplete a wide variety of residential repairs and improvements, including finish carpentry, drywall patching, painting, tile repair, and general home maintenance.
Perform basic plumbing tasks (such as replacing faucets or repairing toilets) and basic electrical work (such as replacing light fixtures or ceiling fans).
Evaluate project requests on-site, discuss solutions with homeowners, and ensure materials are sourced correctly.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace on every job site.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining the scope of work and answering their questions with patience and clarity.

Position RequirementsMust-Have Qualifications
5 or more years of professional experience in home residential repairs, remodeling, or general building trades.
Proven hands-on proficiency in multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical work.
A complete set of hand and power tools appropriate for residential handyman work.
A valid driver's license and a highly reliable, insured truck or van capable of transporting your tools and materials to local job sites.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
Nice-to-Have QualificationsExperience managing small crews or coordinating multi-day residential projects.
Prior experience in a customer-facing service role.
Specialized trade certifications or remodeling licenses.
