Lead, Mechanic​/Technician, Landfill

I. Job Summary

As a Lead, Mechanic Technician, you will work under limited supervision and be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and mechanical equipment. You will utilize your technical expertise and problem‑solving skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery, vehicles, and systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

You will manage workflow and work assignments, outsourcing of repairs when applicable, and produce and manage operational reporting. Must have all required tools to fulfill the responsibilities and requirements of the job.

• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including Hazardous Energy Control Procedures (HECP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Communicate directions and specifications verbally and in writing to team members.
• Demonstrate high quality work, performed with limited repeat repairs and within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Demonstrate ability to aid and train other technicians in repairs and WM procedures and policies.
• Use time effectively, prevent irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion.
• Document Work and Parts Usage:
  Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks. Record parts usage, labor hours, and diagnostic findings utilizing fleet maintenance software program.
• Test and Adjust Systems:
  Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper functionality and alignment. Adjust settings, calibrate sensors
