About this positionCommunity Resources for Justice (CRJ) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities through direct service, advocacy, and innovation. We operate across four core service lines:
- Community Strategies (CS): Support adults with developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities. Provide residential and non‑residential programs for men and women with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Offer individual and group treatment to promote independence and life skills. Clients receive job development, on‑the‑job coaching, and educational opportunities.
- Reentry Services (RS): Support people leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions. Deliver contemporary, evidence‑based services, collaborate with community agencies, and provide hope and support for safe, successful community integration.
- Crime & Justice Institute (CJI): Drive bold, transformative improvements in adult and youth justice systems by working with local, state, and national criminal justice organizations to improve public safety and justice delivery. Bring decades of experience in evidence‑based, data‑driven policy development and systems‑level change.
- Family Reentry (FRE): Address intertwined problems of behavioral health, domestic violence, reentry, recidivism, and youth risks. Offer evidence‑based interventions to provide support and effect positive change, connecting clients to basic needs and strengthening coping and life skills.

About the roleCRJ wants you to join our growing team of compassionate and dependable Residential Counselors to support the wonderful individuals we serve. This is a part‑time, 24‑hour/week, non‑exempt position that will be working in our West Boylston, MA location. This position is eligible for benefits and has a starting rate of $18/hr.
ScheduleFirst and Second shifts
What you'll do- Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours, including job interviews, medical appointments, weekly recreation, religious services, and shopping trips.
- Support and teach clients new skills, including specific goals in the clients’ Individual Service Plan.
- Act as a positive role model for the client to support attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety in all settings.
- Administer medications and complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner, such as progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Desire to make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
- Must pass required certifications in the allotted time set forth by the agency.
- Must pass a criminal and driver’s check.
$18‑$22 per hour (US).
