Location: South Dartmouth

Experience a rewarding opportunity supporting student success at a vibrant high school setting. This contract position offers flexibility, with options for either a full-time schedule or a part-time arrangement of three days per week, ensuring work-life balance for the right candidate.

Your impact will be felt across a campus of approximately 900 students, where your expertise in assessments and collaboration will shape a positive school environment. Last year’s caseload focused on around 70 students for assessments, making this a meaningful and manageable role for a skilled school psychologist eager to support student achievement.

Desired Qualifications
  • Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience in a school setting, preferably high school
  • Strong assessment and report-writing skills
  • Familiarity with psycho educational testing
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Organizational skills to handle caseload management
  • Adaptability and a compassionate approach to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for students referred for evaluation
  • Interpret test data and create clear, actionable reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators on student support strategies
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations
  • Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation as needed
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions in partnership with support staff
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students with varied needs
