Job Overview
Software Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) Engineer – Onsite role at Tewksbury, MA, part of the Radar Digital Product Line. The position focuses on supporting Formal Qualification Testing for advanced radar software, including the SPY-6 and LTAMDS families, and ensuring compliance with performance and quality standards.
Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; active Secret clearance required on day 1.
Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 (USD).
Responsibilities- Update and maintain RDPL Formal Qualification Testing processes.
- Ensure adherence to FQT processes, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Support cross‑functional teams in decomposing software requirements into verification items.
- Assist in implementing test drivers, test analysis, and other test artifacts to verify software requirements.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and resolve defects to ensure compliance with performance standards.
- Execute Formal Qualification Testing activities for radar software products (SPY-6, LTAMDS, and other radar systems).
- Create, review, and deliver FQT-related Contract Deliverables (CDRLs).
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2years of relevant experience.
- Experience in software testing and Formal Qualification Testing processes and tools.
- Experience with IBMDOORS.
- Experience decomposing software requirements into verification items and reviewing verification artifacts.
- Experience creating FQT deliverables such as Software Test Plans (STPs), Software Test Descriptions (STDs), and Software Test Reports (STRs) and addressing customer feedback.
- Experience with Clear Case and MATLAB for data analysis.
- Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of radar systems, especially the SPY‑6 and/or LTAMDS families.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
- Experience with software qualification by inspection and analysis.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Jira for issue tracking and workflow management.
- Previous experience on SPY‑6, LTAMDS, or similar radar product lines.
