Founded in 1875, Myopia Hunt Club is a historic private club located in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, approximately 30 miles north of Boston. The club holds a distinguished place in golf history, having introduced the game in 1894 and hosted four of the first thirteen U.S. Open Championships. Today, Myopia Hunt Club is ranked 50th in Golf Digest’s Top 100 Golf Courses in the United States and 72nd worldwide, reflecting its enduring reputation for excellence.

Beyond its renowned championship golf course, Myopia Hunt Club offers a comprehensive country club experience. The club features three active polo fields, seven Har-Tru tennis courts, four paddle courts, two racquetball courts, a pool facility, as well as kennels and stables, making it a truly unique and multifaceted institution.

The Assistant-in-Training (A.I.T.) position at Myopia Hunt Club provides a distinctive opportunity for individuals seeking to build a strong foundation in the turf industry. Candidates will work closely with the management team and gain hands‑on experience in daily course preparation, agronomic practices, irrigation repair and maintenance, chemical and fertilizer calibration and application, record keeping, and water management. Additionally, the club is currently preparing a Gil Hanse golf course master plan, along with plans for a new maintenance facility, offering exposure to significant upcoming projects.

• Application of pesticides and plant protectants to fairways, greens, and tees
• Water management, including hand watering and moisture monitoring
• Fertilizer calibration and application
• Supervision and leadership of small crews
• Participation in aerification and other cultural practices
• Execution of small projects and course improvements
