Do you have a passion for helping people build strength, flexibility, and balance through mindful movement? The Salem YMCA is seeking a Mat Pilates Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective classes for our members.

Mat Pilates is a no‑equipment, full‑body workout performed on a mat, emphasizing controlled movements, core strength, posture, and coordination
. Our ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment where participants of all levels feel supported, challenged, and inspired.

• Lead group Mat Pilates classes that are safe, engaging, and inclusive for all levels.
• Provide modifications and progressions to meet participants' needs.
• Educate participants on proper form and technique to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Build positive relationships and foster a sense of community within the class.
• Promote other YMCA programs and services that support healthy living.

• Certification in Pilates instruction (Mat Pilates focus strongly preferred).
• Experience teaching group fitness or Pilates classes in a wellness or fitness setting.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Ability to connect with participants of all ages and abilities.
• Commitment to the YMCA mission of promoting health and well‑being for all.
