Location: North Dighton
Position is responsible for the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on auction property, driving vehicles to and from auction lots, and driving vehicles through auction sale lanes on designated sale days, in compliance with auction safety rules and regulations. The role works up to 4 days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 3:30p.m., at an auction location in the USA.
Compensation is $16.34 per hour with potential additional commission or incentive.
- Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
- Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and to customer dealerships and businesses, following auction driving rules, road rules, and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.
- Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader; move vehicles as necessary and locate “lost” vehicles.
- Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed, including inflating tires and jump‑starting vehicles with a battery box and air tank.
- Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the service or gas truck driver if a vehicle is out of gas.
- Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
- Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and may be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to repeatedly enter and exit vehicles, sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
- Physical strength to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb frequently; lift 1–15pounds.
- Vision requirements: close, distance, and color vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous auction experience preferred.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions; moderate noise level; must work in all‑weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
