Hours vary and are mutually agreed upon by Driver based on preferences and availability
Benefits:
Free access to select performances, classes, talks, and studios as schedules allow. Summer only:
Three meals a day, free access to classes, performances, talks, and studio usage.
- Transport staff, artists, and guests to/from residences, airports, train stations, and bus stops.
- Load and unload luggage or freight, up to 50 lbs.
- Pick up and deliver supplies and equipment from vendors.
- Perform assigned transportation errands and drives as scheduled by the Public Programs Coordinator.
- Regularly check email for scheduling updates and communications.
- Deliver mail and express packages as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in Jacob’s Pillow vehicles.
- Log all trips and submit all receipts to the Programming Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience in customer service.
- Proficiency with navigation, including map reading and GPS systems.
- Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to maintain discretion.
- Comfortable driving long distances in various vehicles, including a 12‑passenger van and cargo van.
- Willingness to drive between NYC, Boston, and other big and small city locations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous professional driving experience or similar role.
- Experience working with artists, performers, or in an arts-related organization.
- Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or French.
- Ability to safely drive a variety of vehicles, including a 12‑passenger van and cargo van, in varied weather and traffic conditions.
- Regularly lift and carry luggage or supplies up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
- Flexible hours, with potential early mornings, late nights, or weekend shifts.
- Comfortable sitting for long periods while driving.
