Freezer Stocker

Position Summary

Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department and prepare for shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Assist in billing process.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-to-three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
