PositionInventory Operations Supervisor (Hopedale, MA)
Schedule4 PM – 2:30 AM, Monday–Friday. Schedule will vary based on business needs. Flexibility in availability is required.
SummarySupervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain adequate records of inventory adjustments – cycles, physicals and catch weight audits performed
- Assist with Inventory Control, maintain inventory accuracy, and maintain supply areas
- Maintain computerized records of inventory
- Perform cycle counts, investigate variances, and adjust inventory records as required
- Review inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities
- Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics
- Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedule staff accordingly
- Assign workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules
- Review and update operational procedures as necessary and ensure they are communicated to and understood by the warehouse associates
- Track productivity and qualify performance by individual, function, and department
- Work with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible
- Manage payroll of department
- Advise employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems
- Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
- Issue written and oral instructions
- Ensure that proper safety procedures are followed
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances
- Position is full‑time and on‑site
Directly supervises 20+ employees in the area of Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

USD $65,000 – $69,000 per year. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
