Warehouse Supervisor

Description:

This position will help with the oversight of day-to-day outbound operations for 2nd Shift, Sunday through Thursday, in our warehouse/distribution center, while enforcing all safety policies & practices, ensuring training and development of new and existing employees, and providing a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Follow and promote all safety initiatives

Ensure all work is performed according to J Polep procedures and standards for dock operations

Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train employees; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement

Directly supervise all activities of dockworkers and support personnel engaged in loading trucks and trailers

Coordinate work assignments, monitor performance, and provide training on relevant job duties

Assist in the loading and unloading of trailers

Must be able to lift and/or move up to sixty (60) pounds

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment2+ years of supervisor experience

Must possess demonstrated leadership ability

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations

Must be able to read and clearly communicate in English. Spanish is a plus.

General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook Excellent communication and problem-solving skill
