Legal Assistant

Reputable No Fault law firm that is looking for qualified candidates to assist in hearing preparations.

This job is only open to those who are willing to work part time, ideally 3 to 4 days a week. Our office is located in Massapequa, New York, and remote work is not available. We are open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be highly driven, extremely organized, and have excellent typing and computer skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to meet deadlines and quotas efficiently and on time

• Detail oriented

Responsibilities

• File preparation and management

• Review AR-1 forms to be filed with the American Arbitration Association

• Input data from the American Arbitration Association website and maintain updated excel sheets for each of our clients

• Analyze documents from insurance carriers

• File organization, scanning and any other clerical work as needed by the attorneys

• Assistance with medical billing

• Generating documents such as correspondence, verification responses, proof of mailing, etc.

Please be advised that, depending on the qualifications and performance of the selected candidate, there may be an opportunity for the role to evolve to include a broader scope of legal duties.

Experience working in the legal field is a plus, but not required. We offer paid training, holidays, vacation and sick time.

Salary will be based upon previous experience relevant to this position.
