Role Description This full-time, on-site Sales Consultant role is based in Massapequa, NY. The Sales Consultant is responsible for engaging prospective and existing customers in person, assessing their connectivity needs, and recommending Optimum’s internet, mobile, TV, and phone solutions. Day-to-day activities include conducting product demonstrations, explaining service plans and pricing, answering customer questions, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact to closing.

The role also involves maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, following up on leads, and meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets. Sales Consultants are expected to collaborate with colleagues, uphold high standards of customer service, and represent Optimum’s values in every customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Consulting and Consulting skills, including the ability to understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions.
• Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on building trust, resolving concerns, and ensuring positive experiences.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to explain technical offerings in simple terms.
• Proven experience in retail sales, telecommunications, or a related customer-facing environment is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Massapequa, NY, including evenings or weekends as business needs require.
• Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet performance targets and manage time effectively.
• Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems to track leads and customer interactions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
