Job Duration:
Temp Only thru approx. 12/1/26
Est. Pay Range: $30 to $35/hr on w2
Work Type:
On Site
Work Schedule:
Mon-Fri.
Work Hours: 7am – 4pm (approx) - no set hours, need to be there when the contractors are working
Overview/ Responsibilities:
Asbestos/Environmental Monitor:
- A minimum of a (4) four-year degree in Environmental science, environmental engineering, or related environmental discipline.
- A minimum of (2) two years of experience performing environmental field work and construction inspections.
- 4-hours of NYS Department of Environmental Conservation sponsored training in proper erosion and sediment control principles.
- Familiarity with SWPPP inspections and producing SWPPP reports.
- Experience with utility construction projects and applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to the project.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple parties and communicate clearly to the contractor.
- Experience/Knowledge in spill reporting to regulatory agencies.
- Experience inspecting all construction activities, including clearing, access road improvements and installation’s structure removals, replacement structure installations, wire-stringing, installation and maintenance of temporary erosion controls, work involving wetlands, streams, agricultural lands.
- Experience working in and around water and environmental monitoring compliance with permit conditions.
- Experience inspecting and managing all environmental protection requirements.
- Current waste training (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act [RCRA] hazardous waste and United States Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). materials).
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a NYSDOL certified Asbestos Project Monitor and Air Sampling Technician.
