Job Description
ROLE - SPECIALTY
RN - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

SCHEDULE

Shift: 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM
Weekend schedule:
Every Other Weekend

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Travel assignment: travel experience required; first-time travelers NOT accepted

REQUIREMENTS
- State license: NY license REQUIRED in hand to submit
- Years of experience: 2 years (1 year possibly acceptable, confirm)

- Experience with charting:
Epic REQUIRED
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Unit-specific skills:
Telemetry monitoring; IV starts/maintenance; blood product administration; non-invasive airway support; rapid response participation; experience with stroke, seizures, substance withdrawal

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical telemetry unit.
- Monitor vital signs and interpret telemetry readings to identify changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic health record.
