Description:

The RN will work a 3x12 hour shift from 07:30 to 19:30.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
The unit accepts experienced travelers only.
Patient ratios are 1:6 during the day, 1:7 at night, and 1:8 on weekends.
Ideal candidates will have experience with patients diagnosed with COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain.
Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response and code teams, and blood product administration.
Candidates should have experience with central and peripheral line care and management, IV start and maintenance, and management of patients with cerebrovascular accidents and seizure disorders.
Candidates must also have skills in oxygen administration, use of non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions.
Interdisciplinary support within the unit includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
The daily census is approximately 20 patients, with a 25-bed capacity.
