About the Position
Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – New York

Schedule:

12-hour day shifts (7:30 AM – 7:30 PM), every other weekend required
Highlights:
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 25 beds and an average daily census of 20 patients
Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, 1:8 on weekends
Epic EMR system required; 12 hours of orientation provided
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
Treat a diverse case mix including COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, cellulitis, and non-specific abdominal pain
Float pool participation required; any color nursing scrubs accepted
Requirements:
Active New York RN license required prior to submission
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Epic EMR experience is mandatory
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration

Experience with respiratory support equipment including BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and oxygen delivery systems
Competency in CVA care, seizure management, and substance withdrawal protocols
Limited PTO availability: no more than 10 days off during assignment
