American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring charge experience and a NY RN license in hand.
Details- Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department
- Patient ratio of 1:3 on all shifts
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication
- 48-hour unit orientation provided
- Floating required
- No specific scrub color requirements
- Active NY RN license required in hand
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- TNCC certification preferred
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with blood product administration and phlebotomy
- Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs, including IV vasopressors
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Skilled in care of ventilated patients and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Experience with CVA and head injury care
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols
- Central line care/management experience preferred
- Spinal cord injury and ortho trauma experience preferred
- Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Perform triage, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoring as part of daily responsibilities
- Maximum RTO of 7 days
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Previous employees may be considered if it has been at least 6 months since their last assignment system-wide
