American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring charge experience and a NY RN license in hand.

• Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department
• Patient ratio of 1:3 on all shifts
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication
• 48-hour unit orientation provided
• Floating required
• No specific scrub color requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration and phlebotomy
• Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs, including IV vasopressors
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Skilled in care of ventilated patients and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience with CVA and head injury care
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols
• Central line care/management experience preferred
• Spinal cord injury and ortho trauma experience preferred

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Perform triage, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoring as part of daily responsibilities
• Maximum RTO of 7 days
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Previous employees may be considered if it has been at least 6 months since their last assignment system-wide
