Part Time Dental Assistant Job Description

Mid America Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to work part‑time, 16 hours per week (Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm) at the Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility in Massillon, OH. This position offers competitive compensation of $19 per hour plus benefits and a 401(k). It provides a low‑stress alternative to private practice dentistry, with no late nights or weekends.

• Routine chairside duties including preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic care.
• No orthodontic or crown & bridge work; very limited endodontic procedures.
• Administrative duties, with training provided in these areas.

• 1 year of experience and a certificate from an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers and Ohio Dental Radiographer License (from the OSDB) required.
