Position SummaryThe Maintenance and Reliability Engineer for Trio is responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving maintenance excellence across the operation. This role partners closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement teams to strengthen asset performance, improve preventive and predictive maintenance processes, and support plant throughput, safety, and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead reliability improvement efforts for Trio equipment and systems
- Analyze downtime, failure trends, and maintenance data to identify loss patterns and priority actions
- Develop and improve preventive maintenance strategies to increase asset life and reduce unplanned downtime
- Support root cause problem solving for chronic equipment issues and major breakdowns
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment availability, maintainability, and overall line performance
- Drive defect handling, error proofing, and base condition restoration activities
- Identify and lead opportunities for capital improvement related to equipment reliability and maintainability
- Support planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns, repairs, and equipment upgrades
- Standardize maintenance practices, documentation, and reliability metrics
- Build technician and operator capability through training, coaching, and technical support
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in maintenance, reliability, manufacturing engineering, or plant operations
- Strong problem‑solving and data analysis skills
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability tools
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Experience in food manufacturing or high‑speed manufacturing environment preferred
- Reduction in unplanned downtime
- Improvement in equipment reliability and OEE
- Preventive maintenance compliance and effectiveness
Reduction in repeat equipment failures - Improved maintenance planning and execution
- Support of plant performance, safety, and quality targets
