Responsibilities
- Work with reliability and maintenance personnel to maintain and upgrade mill equipment with the intent of reducing unscheduled downtime.
- Manage daily and shutdown job assignments to ensure maintenance and production schedules are met.
- Manage capital projects, including scope definition, material requirements, budgeting, vendor coordination, supervision, and work scheduling.
- Develop and maintain skills in predictive maintenance (vibration analysis), thermography, ultrasonic, and lubrication analysis.
- Maintain vibration, lubrication, and thermography routes and equipment information.
- Update existing and create new drawings (mechanical, electrical, P&'s, etc.) for equipment modifications or installations.
- Provide technical support for equipment verification and documentation, develop preventative maintenance manuals, create SOPs, and conduct RCFA investigations.
- Participate in training and development activities at higher levels as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Pulp and Paper Science preferred).
- 0–3 years of experience in a project, reliability, or maintenance engineering role.
- Pulp and Paper Industry experience preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional maturity and the ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
- CAD/3-D modeling experience with AutoCAD or Solid Works.
- Ability to learn Emerson AMS vibration and lubrication analysis software.
- Independent decision-making through creative problem solving and the capacity to work with ambiguity and change.
The Reliability Engineer must take ownership of work, listen, learn from, and collaborate with mill personnel from both hourly and salaried groups. A positive work attitude is essential.
Compensation and Benefits- Starting salary range: $74,400 to $111,600 annually.
- Paid vacation: three (3) weeks per calendar year, pro‑rated within the first year based on start date.
- Paid holidays.
