Position SummaryThe CT Technologist works under the direction of a radiologist, performs the specific section procedures with high quality. The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply the imaging equipment for production of high-quality images. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as requested.
Department SummaryThe imaging department provides diagnostic CT imaging services within the health care facility to patients in need.
Qualifications- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- ODH License.
- Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
- Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education.
- Ability to operate equipment within the department.
- Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
- Comfortable speaking and communicating with colleagues and patients.
- Ability to meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner.
- Detail oriented.
- Communicate effectively.
- Adaptability to changing work environment or needs.
- Computer, keyboard skills preferred.
- Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy.
- Properly position patients for high image quality.
- Medical record documentation in HIS and RIS or systems required per department.
- Review each examination for quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies.
- Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual.
- Explain exams/procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to Aultman policies and procedures.
- Maintain Aultman attendance standards.
- No direct reports for this position.
- Hours may vary as required by job. Weekends and holidays per facility need.
- Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
- Lunch periods and breaks are coordinated with other staff members to maintain adequate coverage.
- Cross training in areas of the department as required.
- Colleagues may be assigned to different locations within the foundation.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for spills or splashes of, or mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues are Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
