. This change reflects our continued commitment to providing comprehensive, person-centered care that addresses the full range of behavioral health needs for Ohioans. All positions and services now fall under the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health as we move forward in serving individuals, families, and communities across the state.
- Serves as a health care provider, providing primary health care in coordination and collaboration with physician, interdisciplinary health care and mental health team
- Creates & implements patient care plans and performs advanced nursing duties within boundaries of licensure
- Monitors progress of patients and intervenes in the course of acute illness
- Completes comprehensive health exam and dictates findings, including assessments for suicidality and homicidality
- Evaluates necessity for further testing or referral to appropriate specialist
- Dictates discharge narrative summaries
- Analyzes and documents findings & prescribes medications or administers treatment of acute & chronically ill patients
- Evaluates necessity for referral consultations inside or outside the regional psychiatric hospital; orders & reviews results of laboratory, x-ray & other diagnostic testing.
- Provides clinical direction to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses & other caregivers
- Serves as resource person to other entities (e.g., infection control, education & training office)
- Performs H&Ps and attends to all physical health needs of patients, as requested by the unit staffs, on the weekend/holidays.
This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 15 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199
