Packaging Machine Operator

Millennium Plant | Massillon, Ohio

$23.30/hr - $26.30/hr

Shift: 7AM - 7PM | 7PM - 7AM

2-2-3 Work Schedule

• Operate and monitor packaging machines; perform setup and changeovers.
• Maintain efficiency and quality across 3-5 packaging machines.
• Communicate changes and plans to nearby team members and supervision.
• Perform scheduled computer tasks at specified times during the shift.
• Set up and operate packaging equipment following precise recipes and work procedures; monitor variables and conduct product quality tests and data collection.
• Respond to direction from quality assurance and management personnel.
• Be exposed to allergens, chemicals, extreme equipment, and temperatures.
• Multitask and prioritize tasks; use hand tools as required.

• Troubleshooting Skills - Ability to diagnose problems and identify root causes for mechanical and automation equipment. (

  not included in final copy) 2-5 years of machine operator or maintenance apprenticeship experience preferred.
• Computer Skills - Basic computer skills to run production; routine verifications will be performed.
• Time Management - Manage time effectively; complete quality verifications at intervals; perform changeovers within allotted time and plan breaks around activity lulls.
• Flexibility - Availability for training, pre-shift meetings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Physical Demands - Ability to move, twist, or lift up to 60 lbs; team lift 75 lbs; vision requirements; standing for long periods (12+ hours) to maintain a fast, repetitive pace.

Pay Range

Salary Range: USD $23.30/hour - USD $26.30/hour.
