Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
We are looking for a highly qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, and provide patient education. Prepare medical records and refer patients for inpatient care in accordance with statues, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for providing inpatient care to patients showing a change in mental status, chronic or urgent medical condition.
- Work independently with other members of the medical team, with entitlements to specific clinical privileges approved by the Medical Executive Board.
- Perform patients' histories and physicals, risk factor assessment, ordering of therapeutic and diagnostic tests; and attend consultations and appointments.
- Prescribe medications following the clinic's policy, formulary, and relevant regulations of the State.
- Consult with physicians on cases that are beyond the scope of qualifications of PsycNP.
- Offering counseling or psychotherapy.
- Put all relevant patient data in medical records and case presentations.
- Formulate, execute, and review healthcare education delivered to patients and families for diseases prevention.
- Ensure smooth communication with other health professionals for effective delivering of clinic service to patients.
- Provide consultation to the clinic's nursing and medical staff for improvement in their work performance, which enhances overall quality service delivery of the clinic.
- Must have Master's in Nursing and Post Master's program in Advanced Practice Role
- Must have Psychiatric APN Certification
- 2 years experience as Psychiatric APN

- Help people establish personally meaningful goals to strive towards
- Provide information about mental illness and treatment options.
- Teach skills for reducing relapses, dealing with stress, and coping with symptoms.
- Provide information about where to obtain needed resources.
- Help people develop or enhance their natural supports for managing their illness and pursuing their goals.

- This is a full-time position. Hours are scheduled to accommodate a 24/7 facility. Hours include holidays.
