Job Description
Quality Assurance Technician:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to:
- Performs highly diversified first piece, shop floor sampling, final inspection and Statistical Process Control operations.
- Completes a wide variety of QA activities.
- Knows application of work pieces, plans and schedules inspection procedures for others, makes decisions on allowable variations exercising considerable judgment relative to acceptability of pieces compared to standards.
- Devises gaging and measuring set-ups.
- Checks calibration of instruments and maintains documentation for variety of QA areas.
- May assist production operators in determining reasons for defects.
- Able to assist customers with quality issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience in a precision machining environment.
- Quality assurance in automotive and TS 16949/IATF background a plus.
- Ability to comprehend blueprints and use applicable measuring devices including SPC.
