Job Description: Customer Service/Cashier working on the Frontend and responsible for registering customer purchases at the check stand, working in the Service Center, and performing those tasks most closely associated with the direct customer interaction "at the window":
Customer Relations, Check Cashing, Telephone, Lottery Tickets, the Sale of other Service Center Merchandise and Services, Merchandise Returns, Rain Checks, and related tasks as required or assigned.

This person's primary duties require: as a cashier thorough knowledge of check-out policies and procedures, and include greeting the customer; electronic register operations; scanning and/or hand ringing the customer's purchase; tendering cash and non-cash transactions; proofing checks; handling coupons, food stamps, and vouchers; making change; maintaining a balanced drawer; seeing the customer's purchase is bagged properly; working the Fast Lanes; and interacting with the customer to make the entire check-out process as pleasant and efficient as possible.

As a service center employee duties would include performing those tasks most closely associated with the direct customer interaction "at the window":

Qualifications:

• Available: Must be available to be scheduled 20 - 30 hrs a week, including night and weekends, based on department needs.
• Previous
  
  Experience:
  
  Must have at least one year cashier experience. Service Center and or cashier experience preferred, but not required. We will train.
• Physical Demands: Limited lifting, bending, stooping, pulling and pushing with repetitive lifting to 25#; occasional lifting to 50#.

Other Considerations: Organized; productive; having outstanding customer relations skills; able to work well with co-workers; reliable, dependable; and able to work with minimal supervision.
