Customer Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking Security Guard candidates that are interested and excited about working in a team environment for safeguarding our personnel, premises, and assets. The goals are to maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions, as well as detect, deter, observe, and report. Primary duties include checking and admitting visitors onto campus, patrolling the premises at regular intervals, and responding to any distress calls and alarms.

Also, please note that shifts and rotations will probably be fluid once we open up, but the goal will be to have a 24-hour security team, with day and night guards working 7 shifts on and then 7 shifts off. Example is work from Wednesday through the following Tuesday, then be off for that same set of days immediately following, and then repeat that pattern.

Shift hours will be 7am to 7pm for daytime, and then will be 7pm to 7am for nighttime.

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Carry out security checks on visitors, on arrival and exit
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents
• Randomly and/or regularly patrol buildings and perimeter
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates

• Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail oriented
• Integrity and professionalism

• Must have previous security experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Good work ethics
• Must be able to understand regulations and follow verbal instructions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Have appropriate level of strength and physical condition with ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, lift, and run or jog if necessary
• Physical working environment involves indoors and outdoors, and exposure to a wide range of temperatures

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes be exposed to heat, cold, noise, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The exposure will not be constant, but could occupy a large amount of a person's time during the day while on-site. Safety & Noise reduction equipment will be provided by the company.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
