This full-time, on-site Cable Technician role is based in Massillon, OH. The Cable Technician will install, terminate, and test copper and fiber cables in commercial and government facilities, following industry standards and safety guidelines. Daily responsibilities include pulling and routing cables, building and labeling structured cabling systems, and using hand tools and testing equipment to complete and verify installations. The role also involves troubleshooting connectivity issues, performing repairs, documenting work performed, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

The Cable Technician is expected to maintain a clean, organized work area and provide professional, customer-focused service at client sites.

• Practical experience working with cables and cabling, including installation, termination, and testing.
• Knowledge of structured cabling systems and standards (e.g., labeling, routing, and cable management best practices).
• Basic understanding of electricity and low-voltage systems, with a strong focus on safety and proper work practices.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and related equipment for cabling installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with colleagues and clients on-site.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in cabling or telecommunications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites in and around Massillon, OH.
