Role Purpose
The Collections Supervisor supports the Collections Manager in leading the collections team, managing portfolio client accounts and ensuring collection activities are delivered efficiently, professionally and aligned with business objectives. The role combines operational collections expertise with people leadership, driving performance, promoting accountability, and continuously improving collections processes, systems and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Client & Commercial Impact – Supervise the quality, accuracy and timeliness of collections activity across assigned portfolios; manage a portfolio of client accounts to reduce aged debt and improve cash flow; build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to resolve outstanding balances.
- Communication & Influence – Communicate priorities, expectations and updates clearly to team members; provide coaching, guidance and constructive feedback; share operational insights, performance data and recommendations with management and stakeholders.
- Team Leadership – Support the Collections Manager with day‑to‑day leadership, workload management and resource planning; mentor and coach team members to develop collections expertise and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Operational Excellence & Accountability – Allocate and monitor workloads to meet service levels; monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities; ensure compliance with policies and maintain accurate records of collection activity.
- Growth Mindset & Future Readiness – Champion continuous learning, encourage digital tool adoption, support change initiatives and stay current on industry best practices.
