As the key driver of plant performance, the Director of Operations will manage daily manufacturing activities, coordinate safety programs, lead process improvements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with the President to ensure production goals are met while maintaining exceptional quality standards and compliance with ISO 9001 and other safety regulations. This role is ideal for an experienced, independent leader who is proficient in manufacturing operations, understands quality systems, and can seamlessly communicate across diverse teams in both English and Spanish.

• Proven experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably in a production environment producing industrial or heavy-duty products
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, delegate authority, and motivate staff
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
• Hands-on experience with production planning, process improvement, and troubleshooting equipment
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to operate independently, make decisions confidently, and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills

• Experience in a similar role within sewing, manufacturing, or industrial production facilities
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, or other continuous improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI, NFPA, CSA, and OSHA compliance

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing operations, with proven track record of successfully managing a plant or production facility

• Open and close the facility during scheduled hours, with flexibility for early hours (7 AM start)
• Willingness to travel occasionally for facility or supplier visits as needed
• Strong fluency in Spanish is highly preferred, as most employees speak Spanish
• Ability to operate in a physically demanding environment, including walking, standing for extended periods, and working in a manufacturing setting
