SummaryThe Retail Store Application Specialist ensures smooth deployment, integration, and operation of retail store systems provided by co‑op headquarters. This includes applications connected to store POS systems such as Item and Price Management, Inventory, Order Management, Loyalty, Coupons, and Reporting. The role bridges the gap between store needs and IT solutions, ensuring accurate setup, support, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Configure co-op applications and integrate them with various POS systems.
- Support new store onboarding and system setup.
- Advise stores on POS configurations, promotions, and data integration.
- Assist with implementation of store hardware (registers, scales, pin pads, etc.).
- Provide Level 2 support for member stores and escalates issues when required.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Applications team to gather requirements and prioritize enhancements.
- Monitor and resolve system integration issues between co-op and store systems.
- Conduct QA and user acceptance testing for changes impacting store operations.
- Create training and communication materials for new releases or updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and user experience.
- Coordinate with the IT Field Team for onsite training and support.
- Liaise with POS vendors and service providers for issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Business-related field.
- 5+ years of experience with POS technology and retail system integrations.
- Hands‑on experience with at least 3 full POS implementations in retail.
- Experience with SAP S/4 or PI integration preferred.
- Strong understanding of item, pricing, and customer data integration.
- Retail grocery or consumer goods experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and SDLC lifecycle.
- Strong testing, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
