We are on the lookout for a skilled Social Worker to join the Child Protection Team in the picturesque town of Matlock. This locum position offers an hourly wage of up to £35 and is expected to span 3 months, with the potential for extension. We need someone to start as soon as possible, working full-time from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

This role is within the Amber Valley Locality for Derbyshire County Council and involves managing a caseload of Single Assessments, Children in Need (CIN), and Child Protection (CP) cases. If you have at least 3 years of post-qualifying frontline experience, with knowledge of Court work and legal processes, this might just be the perfect opportunity for you!

What you will do:

• Manage a varied caseload of Single Assessments, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases.
• Liaise with families, partner agencies, and community resources to provide comprehensive support.
• Attend and contribute to relevant court proceedings, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and submitted on time.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of family situations to determine appropriate intervention strategies.
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
